Get involved

There are many ways you can support Headway and get directly involved in our work. From volunteering your time to donating funds towards our vital work, any help is heartily welcomed. You could make a skydive, go on an overseas trek or enter a marathon or fun run.

For professionals in the field, our conferences often attract participants and speakers of international repute, providing new insights into issues around brain injury.

Fundraising

Fundraising is a great excuse for bringing people together for a good cause. The more fun it is the more money you will raise. If you can make someone smile then you are halfway there.

Volunteering

Volunteers are vital to the work of Headway Salford & Trafford. There are many ways in which you can help us with your time and effort. Examples include spending a few hours a week giving administrative help, time spent on a telephone helpline, helping with activities for those with brain injury, posting leaflets in your area, or organising outings and events. Help may be needed with activities such as arts and crafts, hobbies, and computer skills.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Noreen Kelly on 0800 138 6594.

Facebook

Headway has created its own dedicated page on the social networking site Facebook.

The page is designed to raise awareness of brain injury and gain support for the vital work that we do. It is aimed at supporters of Headway Salford & Trafford both new and old and will provide visitors with up-to-date information on our latest news as well as providing links to interesting articles.

In addition, our page has a wall where visitors can post messages of support to one another and a discussion forum to enable people with an interest in brain injury to share their views.
